Hard Cider Spotlight at Apple Hill Growers

Hard Cider Spotlight at Apple Hill Growers

We all know and love Apple Hill Growers’ apples, apple pies, apple donuts and candy apples,
so it’s only natural that the farms’ delicious fruit has also made the area one of the best places
for craft hard cider. A visit to the below farms will provide a delightful variety of different “orchard
to bottle” ciders. You’ll be able to sample classic apple along with special flavors like blackberry,
ginger pineapple and Cherry Seinfeld.

Delfino Farms
The Delfino family’s Henrietta Stich hard cider is a tribute to Joan Delfino's mother, Henrietta
Stich. Henrietta raised her three children (Joan being the middle child) to love life, family, and
farming. Now, third generation Delfinos are carrying on those same traditions at Delfino Farms.
Our Henrietta Stich Portfolio includes our Heritage, Whiskey Arkansas Black and Blackberry
Hard Ciders. The ciders pair perfectly with Joan Delfino’s famous Walkin’ Pie.

Hidden Star Camino
Hidden Star Camino is a taproom and bakery located in Camino, California. Its quaint barn
taproom specializes in craft hard apple ciders and pours both glasses and flights from sixteen
varieties. The bakery at Hidden Star Camino is managed by local favorite Shorty's Doughnuts
and features a wide assortment of doughnuts, pastries and pies with an all butter crust. Plenty
of picnic tables and benches provide places to relax and enjoy the panoramic view.

High Hill RanchHigh Hill Ranch
This Apple Hill favorite is known for its apple pies and donuts, but the hard apple cider is worth
stopping for on its own! The High Hand cider is crisp and tart with flavors of green apple. High
Hill also produces several varieties of apple beer and cider champagne.

North Canyon Cider Co
The Barsotti Family Juice Company has been making freshly pressed apple cider for nearly 40
years at their family-owned, solar-powered cider mill. They are currently producing four
varieties: Original Dry, American Sweet, Ginger Pineapple and Cold Brewed with Hops. Visitors
can enjoy them all at the Cider House starting in September.

Pine O Mine Ranch
Well known as one of the last U-Pick apple farms in the Apple Hill area, also serving local beer,
Hard Cider, Smokehouse style BBQ, and events throughout the seasons! Our goal is to provide
an amazing experience for all locals and travelers to Apple Hill Growers area!

Rainbow Orchards
Rainbow Orchards might be best known for their mouth-watering HOT apple cider donuts, but
their fresh-pressed apple cider milled on site is a great reason to stick around the ranch a little
longer. Visitors can enjoy both soft and hard ciders.   The soft cider is fresh milled with no added
sugar or preservatives–nothin' but apples.  The hard cider is made directly from the soft cider in
the traditional fermentation fashion with no added flavors, carbonation, or sugars.  Hard cider
sampling is offered on weekends late September through Veteran's Day (weather permitting).

Smokey Ridge Ranch
The laid back farmstand at Smokey Ridge Ranch is the ideal place to soak in the mountain air
and enjoy “prohibition style” hard apple cider from apples grown on the farm on weekends from
now through November. Smokey Ridge also produces several traditional wine varietals
including foothill favorites like Syrah, Sangiovese and Grenache.

Wofford Aces Vineyards

Wofford Acres Vineyards may be best known for its spectacular view of the American River
Canyon, but the South Fork Apple Cider is not to be missed. As the family says, “come for the
wine and stay for the view!” The same thing holds true for this brew made from Arkansas Black,
Fuji, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and Pippin apples.
