We are an agriculture community with a rich history in farming and winemaking where a new generation of growers invites you to share the experience with your family and friends.

Representing over 50 local, family farms, the Apple Hill Growers are dedicated to supporting agriculture in our community. Founded in 1964 with just 16 apple ranches, we’ve now grown to include unique fruit & vegetable farms, bakeshops, wineries, a Bed & Breakfast Inn, flower gardens, and Christmas tree farms. Our winding roads and scenic beauty have been a popular destination for over 50 years. Come enjoy the fruits of our Apple Hill Growers any time of year!

Come for the tantalizing bakeshop and 20+ varieties 🍎🍏 picked on the ranch; stay for the museum that documents the history of our Growers.

We’re devastated to share that the founder of @rainbow_orchards_ca, Tom Heflin, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, at the age of 81. 💔
A lifelong local born and raised in Placerville and at the Harris Family Farm in Pollock Pines, he was a successful agribusiness entrepreneur and owner of Rainbow Orchards, an academic, professor, and Peace Corps volunteer.
His calm and playful leadership, his warmth and easy laugh, and the love he shared so readily with all around him, will be sorely missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Tom was a beloved member of our community who was always at the ready to help others, and contributed greatly to the Apple Hill Growers’ Association. Our hearts go out to his wife Christa, their children, his seven grandchildren, and his siblings Jane Harris, Pam Olivarez Harris, and Bill Harris.
A gathering to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at Rainbow Orchards on September 6, at 4 pm. All who knew Tom are welcome to attend and share in the memories of a life well-lived.

They sure don`t look it, but @wavwinesofficial`s 21st anniversary is this weekend! 🍷 🎉 On Sunday, September 1, from 12:30-3:30, they’ll be feting this milestone with live music, a backyard BBQ with all the fixing, their iconic views, and of course, their incredible wines.
Enjoy the public release of their 2020 and 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon vintages from 11-5.
No reservations needed, and picnics are welcome (no outside alcohol, please).
