$30Winetasting 101–12:30pm
Madroña History/Winery Tour–2:30pm
Yes, there’s always something going on at Madroña. And yes, it’s usually focused around education. Wine is all about learning, and we have an opportunity to help with this. Thus our Second Sunday Wine Education Classes.
On April 14th, we will be conducting two classes with opportunities to learn something new. Our Winetasting 101 will take you through the “whys” and the “why not’s” of winetasting. Swirling, tasting, mapping your palate, savoring, etc., all with wine in hand to expand the experience. No question is off-limits (at least about wine), and it gives people a bit more knowledge when tasting around the state.
Our second class on April 14th is a Madroña History/Winery Tour. Having started in 1973, this will give some insight to what we’ve done and why we’ve grown how we have. Do you know why we planted grapes in the first place? Do you know how many acres the Ag Commissioner wanted us to plant? Do you know which of the original vines and varieties still exist? And then there’s nothing better than tasting a wine in the exact vineyard it was grown!
The classes are limited to 8 people, keeping them intimate and educational! If this sounds like something you’d like to experience, the click here for your spot and tickets. Learning with wine…is there anything better in this world than that?
