We are an agriculture community with a rich history in farming and winemaking where a new generation of growers invites you to share the experience with your family and friends.

Representing over 50 local, family farms, the Apple Hill Growers are dedicated to supporting agriculture in our community. Founded in 1964 with just 16 apple ranches, we’ve now grown to include unique fruit & vegetable farms, bakeshops, wineries, a Bed & Breakfast Inn, flower gardens, and Christmas tree farms. What's happening with the Apple Hill Growers
🍎 We’ve received some questions about the Apple Hill trademark recently. Why would a bunch of farms need that? 🤔
🍏 Good question. Back in 1964, when the Apple Hill™ Growers established the association of 50 small family farms in the Camino/Fruitridge area of El Dorado County, the name Apple Hill was coined to represent our farms that wanted to share the small farm experience of our crops and baked goods.
🍎 Since then, the name has grown to represent a region, which we understand. But we continue to trademark the name to protect our small farms, many of whom have invested significantly over the last nearly 60 years to support and promote the Apple Hill™ Growers.
🍏 When non-farm businesses use the name, it creates confusion. More importantly, it dilutes the quality associated with our name that represents the hard work of our family-owned farms.
🍎 We’re not a giant conglomerate with millions of dollars trying to squish the little guy. We *represent* the little guy, the small family farms that proudly hang our red sign of quality! That red sign is trusted by many for good reason, and we want to ensure that continues.
🍏 We’re grateful to everyone who has supported our farms over the last (almost!) 60 years and look forward to serving generations to come. 🙏

It`s been great to see so many new folks liking us recently – welcome! 👋🏻 We thought it was time for an introduction for those who may not know much about us. 🍎 🍏
We`re the Apple Hill Growers Association, 50+ family-run farms located about an hour from Sacramento, just east of Placerville.
A few facts about us.
🍎 While our namesake is apples, our farms produce much more than that! Think pumpkins, Christmas trees, wine, stone fruits, vegetables, lavender, blueberries, and more.
🍏 Our farms are actually located throughout Camino and Pollock Pines. Find a map of them at AppleHill.com, along with information on each farm, apple varieties, a harvest calendar, and you-pick farms!
🍩 Love baked goods? Our bake shops have a wide range of homemade fresh and frozen treats, including pies, donuts, fritters, candy, jams and sauces, plus gluten-free and nut-free options.
🍁 October is our busy time of year, but our fall season runs from September – November. If you`d like to avoid crowds, consider visiting in September or November or during the week.
🐶 Our farms are dog-friendly! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed in the outside areas at most farms.
🍷 Several farms and wineries are open year-round, offering everything from award-winning wines to fruits and vegetables.
