Apple Hill Wine Tasting

stafield vineyards in the fall

Winter is the perfect time for wine tasting at our Apple Hill Grower wineries. Cozy up in our tasting rooms or take advantage of those mild sunny days in the winter for a wine picnic! Best part is… we are just off of Highway 50 so if you are Tahoe bound for skiing it’s easy to stop for a day here.

Many ask about our seasonal produce farms and are any open in the winter? Our farms are committed to bringing our visitors fresh baked goods and produce that is in season. So we open and close with the seasons bringing you only what we can grow in El Dorado County. So we won’t stay open just to bring you what is grown and trucked in from other regions or states. It’s our commitment to quality and staying true to our farming roots.

Wineries

Doesn’t a winter wine picnic sound perfect right about now! Our elevation in El Dorado County is often above the Sacramento valley fog and below the heavy Sierra snow. Perfect to enjoy the sunny breaks in between the welcome rain. Every now and then we are lucky enough to get some snow and Apple Hill turns into a winter wonderland.  Check ahead for hours and days open for each of our wineries.
